Since last month, i’ve been taking a lot of half-season challenges. How you do it ?

Simple. Either you start a new game in the League you want (in my case England) or you start a game in January 2012 (you can start in Norway or other northern countries and just add England leagues).

In my game, after 19 games, Newcastle was last, with just 14 points. I take control of the team and of course that the first game wouldn’t be easy: Arsenal. And i had a lot of injuries. Hatem Ben Arfa, Chiek Tiote out for about 2 months, Demba Ba was on ACN (Africa Cup of Nations). I was happy aldo with 2 of the transfers that Newcastle had done in the Paul Lambert period (yea, i’ve replaced Paul Lambert on Newcastle): Michael Krohn-Dehli and Vasily Kobin. Unfortunately, i didn’t had Pappis Cisse (excellent goal scorer IRL for Newcastle).

Anyway, even with that team, i managed to smash Arsenal at home: 3-0. Jonas Gutierrez was involved in all the 3 goals, as a substitute.

After that result, many more good (and some bad) results game.

Now, after 31 games (12 in league for me), i have 35 points and i am in the 14th place. Decent, but not good enough, yet.

And now, some screenshots. First, the matches played since i’ve come to the club:

Football Manager Real Time Editor or FMRTE is back with a new version specially made for FM 2012 patch 12.2

Some info from the authors:

The version of FMRTE was designed to work with FM 12.2.2

STEAM automatically updates the game when a new patch is released.
While it’s advisable to keep the game updated, you should know that every time the game is updated it makes FMRTE useless, meaning that it also needs to be updated.

So if you want to keep using FMRTE, you SHOULD use STEAM in OFFLINE mode, or do a full backup of the folder of the game, so you can restore it later.

This is to prevent the game from being updated automatically as we cannot GUARANTEE that we will be able to update FMRTE to make it work with a future game patch.

Changelist from the latest version:

Added support for 12.2.2 Patch (Retail, Russian and Korean versions)

Added teams reputation into clubs information screen, now you can also edit the reputation of other teams (U23, U21, etc..)

Now the installer won’t override the user settings

Fixed a bug in clubs information screen (it was causing FMRTE to crash when viewing some clubs)

The current screen button and miniFMRTE are not working for users with 12.2.2 Patch

Screenshots FMRTE vs 5.2.3

Latvia custom league for FM 2012 was created by Pasists from FM-base.co.uk (credit). It’s a nice league, if you can handle the names from there. There are around 4-5 teams that are very good (Ventspils, Skonto Riga, Metalurg Ljepajas, Daugava), so you wouldn’t get quite bored after 2 years of playing. It would be nice if I could find Estonia and Lithuania leagues for FM 2012, I would create a Baltic league.

Anyway, let’s get to the description of Latvia league on FM 2012

The league consists of three levels:
- Latvian Higher League (16 teams; 2 relegation spots)
- Latvian First Division (18 teams; 2 promo spots; 3 relegation spots)
- Latvian Second Division (3 groups, 10 teams in each group; winner qualifies for First division)

Well, the game was out since the 21st of October, but because i live far away from UK and the Steam game is altmost duble in money (really, 42 vs 70 $), i prefer to wait it’s arrival in Romania so I can buy it. It’s a very good game, but I have friends in UK that say that the match engine it’s a bit weird in some matches.

I hope they will sort this out and give us a patch in which we can play as a real fan of FM 2012

Until then, it’s job time, meaning no FM 2012 until wednsday.
