Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has insisted he is satisfied with his young side's performance against Crewe Alexandra last night.
The Reds came through in the clinch to clear the first hurdle in their Carling Cup campaign, goals from Daniel Agger and Lucas Leiva securing a 2-1 home win over the Railwaymen.
Most would say it was a less than convincing showing from Liverpool against the League One minnows - especially when compared to Arsenal's 6-0 rout of Sheffield United, with Arsene Wenger fielding an even younger side than Benitez's.
